Lions Club Launches Heartfelt Campaign to Sponsor Guide Dog for Local Veteran
In a powerful display of gratitude and compassion, the Venice Lions Club is launching an ambitious fundraiser to sponsor a deserving veteran in our community to receive a specially trained guide dog.
The initiative reflects the Lions'
century-long commitment to serving
those in need and honoring those who
have sacrificed for our country. A Gift of
Independence and Hope Guide dogs
transform lives. For veterans facing visual impairments or other challenges, these highly trained canines provide not just mobility assistance, but renewed independence, confidence, and companionship.
The Lions Club recognizes that those who have served our nation deserve support that goes beyond words—they deserve action. "This fundraiser is about saying 'thank you' in a meaningful way," says Club President Pamela Brown. "A guide dog can be life-changing. It's an investment in someone's future and a symbol of our community's deep respect for their service.
"How You Can Help The Lions Club" is organizing a Mutt Strutt to raise funds for this vital cause. Every dollar contributed directly supports the training and placement of
a guide dog with a veteran in need. Join us on January 24th for a fun event. To register your dog to "strutt" their stuff,
click anywhere on the flyer to the left. To make a donation only, use the Venmo QR code located on the top of
this site's web pages. Join us in making a difference.
Together, we can give a veteran a second chance at independence.
